I set the printer preferences to "sleep" after 5 minutes of inactivity, and every time a print job has been sent to the printer, the printer "woke up" and printed as designed. Also, network connectivity, has been spot on so far it has never disconnected from the network. Some reviews I've read elsewhere state otherwise, but I have had no issues. Scanning has worked fine, and the quality is very good. t was included because HP provides it's own printer "dashboard" program/software, where you can control everything on this printer (on the computer), from printing in blk/wht to color, to duplex printing, scanning, as well as fax preferences. Installed as a wireless network printer and so far, both laptop & desktop computers have been printing to it perfectly with no problems via my network. Setup/install was very smooth, and easy as a snap.
HP OFFICEJET PRO 8720 ALL IN ONE PRINTER UPGRADE
I decided to upgrade my current HP All-In-One printer (HP C-7280), which has been working without problems for more than 10 years. It is used primarily for home printing, and some work documents.
HP OFFICEJET PRO 8720 ALL IN ONE PRINTER FULL
View full Reviewīought this 8720, and have been testing it for more than a week. My thanks to HP for building such a quality product. The new 8720 is an outstanding machine and I would highly recommend it. I have owned many different printers through the years, even other brands of inkjet printers, and it seems as if I always come back to HP for my printing needs. I have to say very honestly that you would be extremely hard pressed to tell the difference between the two reports! The results on the InkJet were absolutely amazing! It was truly laser quality. I then printed the same report on my LaserJet printer, and then compared the two. To put the HP 8720 to the extreme test, I tried printing a large multi-page report on my InkJet 8720 using the "best quality" setting. Interestingly enough I also have a small color LaserJet printer in my home office that I purchased several years ago thinking that I would use it for high quality printing of reports that had to be high quality. I have not counted the number of copies to a cartridge, but I can honestly say that it just keeps on printing almost endlessly! One of the major features that I have always liked about HP Inkjet printers is that you get LaserJet quality at a lower cost per page. I usually by the extra large capacity black cartridge which HP advertises is good for 7000 copies. It is solid, well built, reliable, and best of all it uses the individual HP ink cartridges which saves money in the long run. All in all an excellent printer for the price. hone line to the printer and try it soon. The only function I have not used is the FAX. Also, I like being able to send files to my printer wirelessly and having the printed documents waiting for me when I get home. I really like the duplex feature where by you can take two separate pages and have it printed front/back on one page. The print function is speedy - if a little bit noisy. This printer has consistently exceeded my expectations. I bought this printer to replace an older HP inkjet printer.
